Not the best from Elvis but it is what it is. I was at the Springfield concert (also in '75) and felt '75 was much better. We all wish it would have been different. Anyway, a good glimpse of the history.

I was at the Springfield, MA show with my parents on July 29, 1976, so I'm biased. I was 5, so my memories are hazy, though I do remember getting handed (by my dad) over to Linda Thompson, who gave me a kiss and an autograph. Supposedly she held me up to the stage and Elvis came over and gave me a pat on the head. It's great to have the recording (I totally forgot about the missing necklace story) but -- for the objective Elvis fan -- the energy and performance is nowhere near that of the summer of 1975 and even the Fall 1976 shows. That said, the spark is still there, and when Elvis is engaged (on tracks like "Hurt") he does give it his all.

I recently purchased the Elvis 1976 live concert box set. I bought it for my father who was in attendance at the Charleston, WV show and while he listened to it, I could see he was traveling back in time reliving one of the greatest experiences of his life. So thank you for making this available to the fans. TCB forever
